Container Train with Feed Flour Dispatched from Kazakhstan to China

Kazakhstan continues to expand exports of value-added agricultural products to the Chinese market. A container train carrying 12.3 thousand tonnes of feed flour has been dispatched to China with the support of the Food Contract Corporation (Prodcorporation).

The supplier is Kapshagay Bidai Onimderi LLP, while the importer is Shandong Hi-speed Qilu International Land Port Development Co., Ltd. The shipment is part of a cooperation agreement on the export of grain, feed and oilseed products signed in October 2025 during a visit of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Beijing.

Under the contract, total deliveries of feed flour are planned at 35.4 thousand tonnes, of which 22.9 thousand tonnes have already been supplied to Chinese buyers.

China has shown steady demand for Kazakhstan-produced feed flour over the past two years. In 2025, exports of this product to China exceeded 2.6 million tonnes, doubling year-on-year. Domestic producers are increasing processing volumes accordingly to meet growing demand.

Since 2024, Prodcorporation has been implementing an export consolidation program that helps aggregate large shipment volumes, optimize logistics and reduce market entry barriers for exporters.

Over the past two years, Kazakh agricultural producers have exported crop products worth approximately USD 58 million with the support of the national grain operator. Key export items include grains, oilseeds, sunflower oil and feed flour.

These developments strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as a reliable supplier of processed agricultural commodities and contribute to the expansion of long-term trade relations with China.
